Film Poster

I was lucky enough to catch my location on a misty day, this gives a really night creepy yet ethereal look.

I then took photos of my actors in a number of different poses, I first experimented with just Olly and Emma facing each other in loving poses to show how they were before the accident. Then i thought maybe i should get into shot as 'the other woman' to show that all the people were linked, thus making my story more clear to the audience.

I liked this shot because i felt like it looks as if the other woman is trying to take over her, or even to replace her.

I then copied the image of me, Emma and Olly onto the hill as a back ground and cut round it. I thought this was effective because the hill is a really memorable location as its where she is stuck in limbo with the memories of the past.

This is the opening scene of 'Requiem For A Dream' which completely inspired a few of the corridor scenes in my film and also inspired my titles.

This is only the trailer for the film that inspired many of my walking shots, unfortunately the film hasn't been released so I couldn't track down specific clips.

This is a trailer of the film 'Thirteen' by Catherine Hardwicke. I am completely inspired by her directing style and wanted to communicate my film in the emotive way she does with every single one of hers.

Film Review

You may think I am silly for doing a one star review for my own film but I didn't feel comfortable raving about my own creation. Therefore I envisaged myself as a very hard Empire film critic. I would like to note that I am very proud of my final product and do feel it deserves more than one star, i thought it would be different from a critical perspective rather than all the praise I have received from it!

Short Film - Final Copy

It was a journey but I got there in the end, enjoy!
